My own view is that MPs ought to have the power to cross the floor, but they should rarely exercise it. Really what Canadian Parliament needs is more MPs acting independently of their party leaderships.
Just started preparing a slide deck for Friday. Sat down with intent, a chocolate bar (with hazelnuts, yum), and a protein shake. 40g of protein! Managed to get an outline done and now I'm lying down feeling a bit queasy.

Peter Drucker once famously said that the only metrics that matter to a business come from outside the business.
A successful restaurant has some number of humans who've left fed and happy. A successful hospital takes in patients and healthy people walk out. Every internal number a business produces for itself might be informative or useful but does not ultimately matter.
Whenever I see companies spouting about their internal metrics like they're proud of them, I think, bluntly: who cares?
