@tml tags.pub is an effort to include more Fediverse people in more conversations on topics they find interesting. You can follow an account like @tagspub and it will boost all the content it gets tagged with that name.
We're a non-profit focused on making the Fediverse better for everyone. No bad intentions.
@tml also, many Fediverse servers don't have tag-following at all.
@tml Hi, I'm Evan Prodromou, one of the coauthors of ActivityPub and the Research Director of Social Web Foundation.
You can follow hashtags in Mastodon, it's true. But that only shows tagged content that was delivered to your server for another reason: you follow the author, someone else on your server follows the author, you use a relay, replies, boosts.
Small servers don't get much tagged content; even larger servers don't get all of it!
@mayintoronto @PhoenixSerenity I've been adding more relays to the inputs.
@the_moep It does need to be explained better.
@PhoenixSerenity Hi. We should have a link to our account and a description of what it's doing on every tags.pub profile; I'll add that ASAP. I think if you've got it blocked, no further posts will get boosted.
@evan Okay:)
@quaewpos Wir hatten letzte Nacht einige Boosts, die in den Warteschlangen feststeckten, daher könnten kürzlich einige ältere Boosts durchgekommen sein.
