Thanks everyone who replied! I went into this poll with a particular point of view: that the best Open Source practice has a core team coordinating the efforts of a much larger looser community of casual contributors.
@reiver that makes sense. So long as it has the pair followers/outbox you've got everything you need to push/pull
I was thinking, for example, something that is an ActivityPub 'Place' (i.e., "type":"Place") could also have an "outbox".

Or is the question more like, should we only be able to follow Actors?
The more I mull it's really following updates to any collection associated to objects. i.e. Follow a collection to get a new chapter from a book. Follow the replies collection on a Place.

Es gibt drei Wege, wie Inhalte zu tags.pub gelangen: Der Nutzer folgt @_followback, der Serveradmin verbindet sich mit dem tags.pub-Relay, oder der Serveradmin verbindet sich mit einem anderen Relay mit offener Registrierung. Wir durchsuchen das Fediverse nicht nach Inhalten. Wir verwenden außerdem Boost-Benachrichtigungen zur Transparenz. Jeder verdient die Kontrolle über seine eigenen Inhalte.

@evan Ich fürchte, das wissen nach wie vor viele User nicht. Und auf all jene User, die zuvor auf zentralisierten Plattformen wie Twitter unterwegs waren, wirkt es auch kontraintuitiv. Vielleicht könnte man noch eine externe Seite mit mehr Erklärungen verlinken? Beim BridgyFed-Bot ist das beispielsweise gut gelöst. @MeierSchulze @Kuestentroete @necrosis
