@evan hmmm, I looked at the PR mentioned in that bullet point and I think it might be for accepting incoming RFC9421 signed requests, not using them for outbound ones to other servers... :goose_hacker:

@solarbranka ha! No. We create new accounts when new hashtags are received. So when I tag this post with a random string like #aX5pPVDI tags.pub will create that new account and broadcast from it. The platform we used to build tags.pub, activitypub-bot, uses very little resources per account, so it's not a big burden.

Hmm, originally I was looking for examples of existing communities moving to the fediverse, the way the Forkiverse started, to inspire others to do the same.

But maybe my thinking was too narrow. Showing examples of successful communities might still help convince people to create their own.

Thank you for the idea, I'll look into what @stefano has been up to!
