@evan oooh, interesting. What algorithm are you using?

All the algorithms I've seen for ascii-fication have failed miserably, because of the variety of pronunciations in regional dialects. e.g. اختبار could be ikhtibar iktbar... And gets much worse with letters like ق or ع.
